01 /Getting Started

First five minutes on the server: where you land, where you're safe, and how big the world actually is.

The World

Orion runs on a 60,000 × 60,000 block pre-generated map — every chunk you'll ever walk into is already built and optimized, so there's no lag spike when you explore somewhere new.

Finding Land

Don't walk it — run /rtp to get randomly teleported straight into unclaimed wilderness. Repeat it as many times as you like until a spot feels like home.

/rtp

Getting Home Safe

Lost, in danger, or just done exploring? /spawn pulls you straight back to the protected main spawn, no matter where you are.

/spawn
First thing to do: claim your plot before you build (see Land & Claims) — an unclaimed base can be broken into or built over by anyone.
02 /Trade & Economy

Every player shares one currency, tracked by Vault under the hood. Sell what you mine, price what you craft, and buy what you're missing — from the server or from other players.

CommandWhat it does
/shopOpens the server's Economy Shop — buy and sell blocks, food, and raw materials at fixed prices, no player interaction needed.
/sellworthChecks what the item in your hand would sell for, without selling it. Alias: /sell.
/balanceShows how much money is in your account. Alias: /bal.
/pay <player> <amount>Sends money directly from your balance to another player's.
Player Auction House

Prefer to set your own price? List an item for every player on the server to see and buy, first-come first-served.

CommandWhat it does
/ahOpens the Auction House — browse and buy anything currently listed by other players.
/ah sell <price>Lists the item currently in your hand for the price you set.
/ah historyShows your past listings — what sold, what expired, and for how much.
/ah expiredReclaims items from listings that ran out of time before anyone bought them.

Shop pricing

Buy and sell prices in /shop can shift with supply and demand — the more a material gets sold to the server, the less the next sale is worth. Check /sellworth before dumping a full inventory.

One shared balance

Money earned from the Shop, the Auction House, and player payments all lands in the same account. Check it any time with /balance, no matter where it came from.

Getting undercut on the Auction House? Prices there are entirely player-set — list slightly under the going rate if you want your item to move fast.
03 /Land & Claims

Claim your land with GriefPrevention before you build a single block. Anything outside a claim is fair game for other players — anything inside is yours alone, unless you say otherwise.

Making a claim

  1. Get a Golden Shovel.Hold it in your hand to start marking out territory.
  2. Right-click one cornerof the area you want to protect.
  3. Right-click the opposite corner.A rectangular claim forms between the two points instantly.
  4. Grow it any timeby right-clicking further out from inside an existing claim.
CommandWhat it does
/trust <player>Full build, break, and container access inside your claim.
/containertrust <player>Chests, furnaces, and animals — no breaking blocks.
/accesstrust <player>Buttons, levers, and doors only.
/untrust <player>Revokes everything you've granted that player.
/trustlistShows everyone currently trusted in the claim you're standing in.
/claimslistLists every claim you own, anywhere on the map.
/claiminfoShows the size, owner, and trust list of the claim you're standing in.
/permissiontrust <player>Lets a trusted player manage other players' trust in your claim — hand off management without giving up ownership.
/abandonclaimDeletes the claim you're standing in and refunds its claim blocks.
Building with friends? /trust shares everything. If you just want someone able to open your furnace or chest without giving them building rights, use /containertrust instead.
Want a single chest locked down even outside a claim — say, at a shared base? Ask staff about the server's chest-locking tools, which protect individual containers rather than whole plots.
Think you've been griefed? Every block change on the server is logged. Report it to staff with coordinates and roughly when it happened — they can look up exactly who broke or placed what, and roll it back.
04 /Homes & Travel

Set as many named home points as your rank allows, and get to friends — or back to base — without the walk.

CommandWhat it does
/sethome [name]Saves your current spot as a home. Opens a menu to name and manage it if you have more than one.
/home [name]Teleports you to that saved home. Leave the name off if you only have one.
/delhome <name>Removes a home you no longer need.
/spawnBack to the protected main spawn, from anywhere.
/tpa <player>Requests to teleport to another player. They have to accept.
/tpacceptAccepts an incoming teleport request.
/tpdenyDeclines an incoming request.
/backReturns you to your previous location — right before your last teleport, or where you died.
How many homes you're allowed to set scales with your rank — see Ranks & Boards. The SetHome menu that opens from /sethome shows how many you have left.
05 /Real Estate

Built somewhere great but don't want to keep it forever, or want to parcel out plots in a town? List your claimed land or carved-out sub-plots for other players to buy or rent — a proper property market on top of the claim system.

To sell plots of land

  1. Get a Golden Shovel againand stand inside your existing claim.
  2. Run /subdivideclaimto switch your shovel into subdivision mode.
  3. Pick out the cornersby right-clicking one corner, then the opposite corner to define the sub-plot.
  4. Place a sign with the infoinside the sub-plot with the right header (like [RE] or [Rent]) and price.
CommandWhat it does
/subdivideclaimPuts your golden shovel into subdivide mode so you can carve out smaller plots inside your main claim to sell or rent. Alias: /subdivide.
/basicclaimsSwitches your golden shovel back to standard claim creation mode.
/realestate listOpens the market menu — browse every plot currently listed across the map.
/realestate sell <price>Lists the claim or sub-plot you're standing in for sale at the price you set.
/realestate buyPurchases the listed plot you're currently standing in, transferring ownership instantly.
/realestate cancelPulls your own claim or sub-plot off the market if you change your mind.

Selling plots in a town

Use /subdivideclaim to split a large city or settlement into individual shop or residential plots. Place a sign on each sub-plot to let players buy or rent their own spot inside your town without touching the rest of your claim.

Buying a plot

Browse land currently for sale across the map or walk up to a listing sign and right-click it to move into a pre-built base or town plot, instead of starting from raw wilderness.

A sold plot keeps its existing claim boundary and any structures inside it — check what you're buying in person before you commit your balance.
Sign Header Quick Reference

Skip the command menu entirely — place a sign on your claim or sub-plot with the right header and it becomes an active listing on its own. Each transaction type needs its own Line 1 header.

Transaction TypeLine 1 HeaderLine 2Line 3
Permanent Sale[RE] or [Sell]10000 (Price)(Leave blank)
Recurring Rent[Rent]500 (Price)7d (Duration)
Lease to Own[Lease]500 (Price)7d (Duration)
Line 2 and Line 3 are examples, not fixed values — swap in whatever price and duration you actually want for that listing.
06 /Ranks & Leaderboards

Permissions and perks scale with your rank, and the server keeps a running scoreboard of who's on top.

Rank & permission system

Every player's permissions — from how many homes you can set to which commands you can run — are managed automatically as you rank up.

Wanderer Voyager Pathfinder Orion's Own via LuckPerms
Not sure what rank you're on or what it unlocks? Ask staff — rank-up requirements (playtime, votes, or in-game achievements) are set per-server and change from time to time.

Leaderboards

CommandWhat it does
/leaderboardOpens a menu of top-player rankings across every tracked category.
Top BalancePlaytimeClaim BlocksKills / Deaths
Look for the holographic standings posted at spawn for a live view of who's on top in each category, no command needed.
07 /World & Perks

Quality-of-life features baked into everyday survival.

Timber Felling

Break the bottom trunk block of a tree with an axe and the entire tree drops at once — no more climbing up to punch out every log by hand.

Extra Worlds

Beyond the main Overworld, Orion links out to the Nether, the End, and a separate resource world that resets periodically — ideal for strip mining without touching your home turf.

Zero-Lag Terrain Chunky

The entire 60,000 × 60,000 map was pre-generated ahead of time using Chunky, so venturing into a brand-new area never causes the stutter a freshly-generated chunk normally would.

Warps

Staff-set landmarks — event grounds, the trading district, minigame lobbies — are all reachable with a single command instead of a walk.

/warps
Farming the resource world? Anything you build there won't survive its periodic reset — keep permanent builds in your claimed Overworld plot.
08 /Crossplay

Java and Bedrock players share the exact same world. Friends on phone, console, or tablet are just as welcome as friends on PC.

Java Edition PC · Mac · Linux

Connect on whatever Java version you already have installed — older and newer clients are automatically translated to match the server via ViaVersion and ViaBackwards, so you're never forced to update just to log in.

Server: orion.playit.plus Port: 25565 Copy

Bedrock Edition Console · Mobile · Win10

iOS, Android, Xbox, PlayStation, and Windows 10/11 players can join directly through Geyser and Floodgate — no Java edition required.

Server: orionbr.playit.plus Port: 22398 Copy

What stays the same either way

Claims, the economy, homes, and voice chat all work identically across Java and Bedrock — the only differences are control scheme and, on Bedrock, a slightly simplified menu layout.

Bedrock and console players: chest, claim, and shop menus render as native Bedrock forms rather than a Java inventory screen — everything is still there, just laid out for touch and controller.
Java and Bedrock use two different addresses and ports — double-check you're using the right one for your edition, and make sure you type the full .playit.plus address exactly as shown.
09 /Proximity Voice Chat

Real 3D positional audio — the closer another player is, the clearer you'll hear them, and it fades out entirely once they're out of range.

Java Players Simple Voice Chat

Install the Simple Voice Chat mod (Fabric or Forge, matching your Minecraft version) and it connects automatically when you join. Press V in-game to open settings and manage push-to-talk.

Bedrock & Mobile Companion App

No mod install needed — use the Simple Voice Chat companion app to join proximity chat from a phone or console alongside your Java friends.

Whisper, Talk, Shout

Voice range isn't fixed — hold your talk key lightly for a whisper only nearby players hear, or push it further for a shout that carries much farther across a build site.

Settings & Groups

Press V to adjust mic sensitivity, output volume, and input device, or to create a private voice group with friends that works regardless of in-game distance.

10 /Communication & Utility

The day-to-day commands that don't fit anywhere else — talking to people, stepping away, and kitting up.

CommandWhat it does
/msg <player> <text>Sends a private message only that player can see. Alias: /tell, /w.
/r <text>Replies to the last private message you received, without retyping the name.
/mail send <player> <text>Leaves a message for a player who's currently offline — they'll see it next time they log in.
/nick <name>Sets a display nickname shown in chat instead of your username. Use /nick off to clear it.
/afkMarks you as away-from-keyboard so others know you're not ignoring them.
/kitOpens the list of item kits available at your rank — claim one to get outfitted fast.
/ignore <player>Mutes a specific player's chat and private messages for you only.
Some kits are on a cooldown and reset on a timer — the /kit menu shows exactly when each one becomes available again.
Nothing in the almanac matches that search.
